Schmoozing

I was in Hartman's yesterday buying some groceries to cook for Amy and I as we watched one of the remaining episodes of Lost when I noticed a familiar face: Lawrence MacAulay, MP for Cardigan, PEI. A few summers ago I worked in Communications for ACOA (a gov. dept.) and dealt with the four Island MPs on a regular basis. Even though MacAulay was not my MP he was one of the ones I liked working with the best. He's a very pleasant man; yesterday I said hello and introduced myself to him and had a nice little chat. Where did I get the balls to do that sort of thing? I saw Joe McGuire (another MP from PEI) the other day walking down the street when I was on my way home from work, but I did NOT like him so I didn't say hello.

In other news: my honey has gone fishing for four days. He's only been gone for not even one day and I miss him. Thank goodness I'm working a fair bit, otherwise this would be a difficult weekend. Since when did the notoriously single girl get so wrapped up in a man that she gets all cutesy-wootsey to the point of missing him if he's gone for a few hours? Ha. Perhaps this weekend will be good for me to reconnect with myself, the girls, and my housework.

Too bad the weather wasn't warmer. I was really enjoying the 26 degree weather. I even put some winter sweaters away yesterday. Hmmm.
