Whoosh - the Ottawa Writer's Festival is here again (wasn't it just on last April?) Not that it's a bad thing, because I'm going to try really really hard to actually go this time. I mean it.

Not really sure, but I might have started on my journey to becoming a Fredhead on Sunday. Went to the Blacksheep Inn to see Fred Eaglesmith. What an awesome show. Standing room only among many many silver-haired funsters (honestly, they were a really fun crowd) on a late fallish afternoon. Most of them seemed to know every single word! I wasn't familiar with his music at all but I really enjoyed myself. His monologues are great, and now I "get" a little more of the humor with the guitar-players amongst us.

Terry Fox Run is up and coming this Sunday at 9 am. (I will be there around 5 or so, as I am on the committee). If you want to pledge, let me know, I'm accepting donations even though I'm not officially running. No doubt I'll be up and down the course a few times as I'm working with the volunteers. Hope to see some of you turn out, no matter where you live!
